Iris Schieferstein is an amazing German artist who works with dead animals. Making all these different pieces using dead animals, above are my absolute favourite pair of white bird shoes. To quote her website, “the earlier you die - the longer you are dead”.

Rachel Burke from I make it. You wear it. Made me a lovely prom inspired dress to wear to the Twin Peaks party at Woodland a few weeks ago, where Charlotte and I did a dj set. Layer upon layer of pink and yellow tulle on a candy pink bodice smattered with love hearts with a pair of matching pink gloves that would make any prom queen grin. 
I love True Blood, whether it be the tv show or the far more erotic book series. Between boasting the deep south lifestyle, which I adore, I really am a sucker for a Souther accent, to demonstrating hardcore death scenes which involve a lot of blood and guts, which I also adore. The show also boasts a ridiculously good looking cast, from the dark vampires to the nearly nude waitresses. However my personal favourite for his general stupidity combined with his good natured heart is Sookie’s brother Jason Stackhouse played by Ryan Kwanten whom recently was named GQ man of the year, giving him a spread in the latest issue in which he pretty much mostly nude.

Felt like this day would never come… much like waiting for Michael Jackson to reveal that “guess what I’m actually not dead LOL”. Fortunately our day came, and his is yet to (conspiracy theories?). BATS Issue Seven - The Wasted Issue has gone to print! It should be out in stores early next week (as well as the online issue), and as a first we will be shipping them interstate as well.

After yet another day of procrastinating and avoiding my Uni assignment all together, I decide it was high time I set up our online shop. Although the current issue of BATS is always free, back issues cost us loads of time to re-print & hand make, so we like to sell them occasionally at events to make some $$$ (which goes towards printing the next issue). The obvious spike (pardon the pun) of vampire related items has become apparently and sometimes annoyingly clear. The increase of goody goody vampires that don’t drink human blood and are all around nice guys (here’s looking at you Cullen) is really, really annoying, that’s why True Blood is a breath of fresh air with these vampires for the most part staying blood thirsty killers who mostly use humans for their own pleasure and use. That’s what I like to see.
You can always count on Miranda Kerr to look hot. In this shoot by Greg Kadel for Numero June 2010 issue Miranda is doing what she does best with and as a slutty nun, must’ve been kind of awkward for an ex-All Hallows girl.
